If I had a penny for every time someone said to me they are growing their hair out, I would have “a pretty penny!” Ladies, why do we avoid haircuts and insist on growing our hair out? All we do is wash and go, let it just hang there and hope that the layers will give us volume; or we just put it in a ponytail! WHY ARE WE GROWING OUR HAIR OUT??(Except of course when we are growing it out to donate to a great cause like Locks of Love)

Lets face it, short haircuts are easier to style, always look good and there is something for everyone. Obviously not everyone can have a pixie haircut, but anything above the shoulders will do. Try something that is just shy of being able to be put up in a ponytail. If you can tie your hair back, it defeats the purpose of getting a sexy short hair style.

I know that cutting your hair off is frightening, so be sure you are ready. Look at pictures online to find styles you like and even styles you don’t like. If you give your stylist an idea of what you do and don’t like, it will give them a better sense of what you are looking for. Be open to ideas from your stylist, and most importantly, make sure you are on the same page before those scissors come out.
